Julie

Lead Teacher

I first started teaching swimming at the age of 17.  I gained Teaching qualifications in Swimming Teaching, Life-saving, Synchronised Swimming, Disability and Parent & Child swimming. During my career I have taught my 5 children to swim. 3 have since swam nationally/internationally and my youngest currently swims at national level in Synchronised Swimming.

Personally I enjoy Open Water Swimming, which I have medalled at North-West county level.

My belief is passion for swimming passes to the children/adults I teach and encourages their skills and confidence.

Also, I believe if pupils enjoy their lesson they will continue to swim throughout life whether it be holiday, speed swimming, water polo or synchro, whilst providing a life-saving skill and promoting good health.
