The rules we have on-site are as follows:
Before you attend swimming lessons:
– Please only attend the swimming pool with a ratio of 1 adult per child where
– Leave other siblings and family members at home where possible
– Adults to bring their own face mask along to lessons – this is to be worn in changing and spectating areas
– Please bring your own pen along to lessons so you can sign in
– PLEASE DO NOT attend swimming lessons if you experience any Covid-19 symptoms
– Participants must have swimwear on underneath clothes ready to go – dry changing rooms will be unavailable
When you arrive at the pool:
– Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes prior to your swimming lesson start time
– Please do not arrive late as this may affect your child being able to participate in lesson due to social distancing measures
– ALL parents & participants must make their way to the fire exit stairs (Ladies changing room end) this will be signposted
– Please wait in the areas marked out at the fire exit, there will be a limited amount of waiting areas available to avoid congestion
– This is the area in which participants will remove outdoor clothing and apply swimming caps & goggles. Swimming teachers will be unable to assist in any problems children experience with their swimming caps or goggles during lessons
– There will be armbands available for you to put on your child if needed
– A member of staff will open the barriers allowing your child to attend poolside to an allocated area
– From here, parents will make their way up to the spectators’ balcony ensuring social distancing at all times
– There will posters detailing a QR code for all spectators to use to facilitate the track & trace service
– Please ensure masks are worn throughout your duration at the facility for all spectators ages 12 upwards and adults
– Please ensure social distancing is observed throughout
During lessons:
– Swimming lessons will now take place width ways and the swimming pool will be split up into 3 different sections
– As a rule, beginner lessons will take place at the shallow end, intermediate in the middle, and advanced swimmers at the deep end. However, this may vary occasionally to meet the needs of the swimmers at the time
– We will be using a system called ‘Spots & Ducks’ which will provide a visual aid for swimmers to keep their distance from each other whilst bringing some fun back to swimming
– Swimming teachers & lifeguards may be wearing masks and visors during lessons
– Although swimming teachers will be able to be in the pool, we will be unable to assist children as we normally would during their lesson. We will provide all the support we can from a safe distance whilst also ensuring your child’s safety in the water. Please be aware that some children may need to temporarily re-visit the use of swimming aids to build confidence
– Each swimming teacher will have their own teaching station, whether that be whilst teaching from the poolside or in the water
– Each swimming teacher will have their own basket of equipment to use throughout the session
– Equipment (including toys, armbands, floats etc) will be cleaned in between each class
– Some activities such as swimming butterfly, jumping in, diving won’t be permitted until advised otherwise by Swim England and Government advisors
At the end of the lesson:
– Around 2 minutes towards the end of lesson time please make your way down from the balcony to your respective wet changing rooms (male or female)
– Please wait at the entrance to poolside – Please do not enter poolside
– There will be a tub of cleaning solution available at each end of the pool. Upon collecting your child from their swimming lesson please remove any armbands and place them in the tub of cleaning solution provided
– Showers will be out of use
– Please change as quickly as possible. max of 5 minutes
– The exit route out of the building will be via the main corridor and down the main staircase towards the reception area
– Signposts will be up to assist you

Despite all the challenges we are yet to face, all guidance put in place by AquaStars Swim Academy has been based on Government and Swim England advice and we are hoping these measures will help to make our return to swimming lessons as safe and effective as possible.

– Please change as quickly as possible. max of 5 minutes

The following terms and conditions apply to all parents/guardians of children attending swimming lessons organised by AquaStars Swim Academy regardless of the site in which they are attending. Please ensure you have read and understood all of the following and keep a copy for your own records, as by booking and attending swimming lessons organised by AquaStars Swim Academy you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
We reserve the right to cancel any swimming lesson/term of swimming lessons if the venue is, or if any part of the building or grounds in which the venue is contained is, rendered unfit or becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to, Acts of God, fire, lightning, explosion, war, disorder, terrorism (actual or threatened), security reasons, school lockdown, flood, pandemic or epidemic, failures or interruptions of electricity gas or water supplies, weather of exceptional severity or acts of local or central government or other authorities. In the case of such event, refunds or account credits are made at the discretion of AquaStars Swim Academy.
