Terms & Conditions:

The following terms and conditions apply to all parents/guardians of children attending swimming lessons organised by AquaStars Swim Academy regardless of the site in which they are attending. Please ensure you have read and understood all of the following and keep a copy for your own records, as by booking and attending swimming lessons organised by AquaStars Swim Academy you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

1. AquaStars Swim Academy reserve the right to alter these terms and conditions at any time upon reasonable notice to the customer

2. All parents/guardians, children and spectators attending site must adhere to the code of conduct as outlined at the bottom of this section

3. Swimming lessons must be paid for in full by the date specified, and prior to commencement of the child’s first swimming lesson of the term

4. Swimming lessons are non-refundable and AquaStars Swim Academy are unable to offer catch up swimming lessons for those missed.  Your space will not be reserved until booking & payment have been made

5. Payment for swimming lessons is non transferable between customers

6. AquaStars Swim Academy swimming lessons run in terms of 10 consecutive weeks. Should this change, the parent/guardian will be advised in advance of any amendments made to the programme along with any effects this may have on payment of lessons

7. Swimming lessons run throughout all half terms and school holidays with the exception of a 3 week break at Christmas time and 1 week at Easter. Should this change, all parents/guardians will be notified in advance

8. All swimming lessons will start/end promptly at the agreed start/finish time. Lesson times will not be extended for children who arrive late

9. It is the parents/guardians responsibility to ensure personal details are kept up to date. AquaStars Swim Academy must be notified of any changes in home address, phone numbers, email address or the child’s medical details.  For children aged 3+, an AquaStars swimming cap must be worn for each swimming lesson

10. If AquaStars Swim Academy requires the need to cancel any swimming lessons the cost of the lesson will be deducted from your next term or you will be offered a catch up lesson or credit

11. In order to re-enroll and/or order a badge the appropriate slips will be given to you on week 7 by your swimming teacher, and these must be returned to us by week 9 of the current term, if the slips are not returned by this date your space will be offered out to someone on the waiting list

12. Children must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18yrs and supervised from the spectating area throughout the whole lesson

13. All swimming badges & certificates and swimming caps must be ordered via our website

Code Of Conduct for Parents/Guardians :

The following terms and conditions apply to all parents/guardians of children attending swimming lessons organised by AquaStars Swim Academy regardless of the site in which they are attending. Please ensure you have read and understood all of the following and keep a copy for your own records, as by booking and attending swimming lessons organised by AquaStars Swim Academy you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

Parent/guardian must inform AquaStars of any medical conditions their child may have, and must also report if this changes
Parent/guardian must not attend the poolside unless advised by an AquaStars staff member 
Parent/guardian must remain with their children until lessons begin
Parent/guardian must remain within the premises during their child’s swimming lesson
Parent/guardian must spectate from the balcony area during their child’s swimming lesson
Parent/guardian must ensure prompt collection of children once their lesson has finished
Parent/guardian must treat the facility in which they are attending with respect and behave responsibly
Families are politely asked to follow the one way systems in place throughout the facility 
Parent/guardian must recognise that inappropriate language within the facility will not be tolerated 
Parent/guardian must NOT use any electronic device in which can take pictures or record either their own, or other children during lesson times or in changing areas 
Parent/guardian must ensure their child is equipped with the appropriate equipment for the swimming lesson, e.g costume, goggles
Any other children (under the age of 16) in attendance, that are not taking part in swimming lessons, must remain with their parent or guardian during lesson times
The safety and responsibility of children in attendance who are not taking part in swimming lessons, remain in the hands of the parent or guardian in which they are attending with
Parent/guardian must do their upmost in supporting their child to enjoy their swimming lessons and encourage them to achieve to the best of their ability
Parents/guardians must respect the swimming teachers lesson plans and personal teaching techniques, and refrain from shouting to their child from the balcony

Code Of Conduct for Participants

1. Children must not arrive late to their swimming lesson
2. Children must not arrive at the facility until 5 minutes prior to their lesson time and must not attend poolside early
3. Children must remain with their parent/guardian until the start of their own lesson
4. Children must respect the facility in which they are attending
5. Children must not run on poolside
6. Children must not enter the water until their teacher states it is safe to do so
7. Children must not flip into the pool, push anyone else in, or hold anyone underwater
8. Children must attend in suitable swimwear e.g. swimming specific shorts, trunks or a costume. Bikinis are not allowed.
9. Children must not disturb or distract other children in classes before/after themselves
10. Children must patiently sit or stand on the side of the pool at the end of their lesson whilst waiting for their parent/guardian
11. Children must alert their swimming teacher if they feel unwell or need the toilet
12. Children must treat all other members equally and with respect at all times
13. Children must understand that use of inappropriate language, bullying, or violence will not be tolerated
14. Children must behave respectfully at all times, particularly in the use of changing facilities

Force Majeure

We reserve the right to cancel any swimming lesson/term of swimming lessons if the venue is, or if any part of the building or grounds in which the venue is contained is, rendered unfit or becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to, Acts of God, fire, lightning, explosion, war, disorder, terrorism (actual or threatened), security reasons, school lockdown, flood, pandemic or epidemic, failures or interruptions of electricity gas or water supplies, weather of exceptional severity or acts of local or central government or other authorities.  In the case of such event, refunds or account credits are made at the discretion of AquaStars Swim Academy.

Covid-19 Guidelines

The rules we have on-site are as follows:

*AquaStars Swim Academy Swimming Parent Guidance*

Before you attend swimming lessons:
– Please only attend the swimming pool with a ratio of 1 adult per child where
– Leave other siblings and family members at home where possible
– Adults to bring their own face mask along to lessons – this is to be worn in changing and spectating areas
– Please bring your own pen along to lessons so you can sign in
– PLEASE DO NOT attend swimming lessons if you experience any Covid-19 symptoms
– Participants must have swimwear on underneath clothes ready to go – dry changing rooms will be unavailable

When you arrive at the pool:
– Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes prior to your swimming lesson start time
– Please do not arrive late as this may affect your child being able to participate in lesson due to social distancing measures
– ALL parents & participants must make their way to the fire exit stairs (Ladies changing room end) this will be signposted
– Please wait in the areas marked out at the fire exit, there will be a limited amount of waiting areas available to avoid congestion
– This is the area in which participants will remove outdoor clothing and apply swimming caps & goggles. Swimming teachers will be unable to assist in any problems children experience with their swimming caps or goggles during lessons
– There will be armbands available for you to put on your child if needed
– A member of staff will open the barriers allowing your child to attend poolside to an allocated area
– From here, parents will make their way up to the spectators’ balcony ensuring social distancing at all times
– There will posters detailing a QR code for all spectators to use to facilitate the track & trace service
– Please ensure masks are worn throughout your duration at the facility for all spectators ages 12 upwards and adults
– Please ensure social distancing is observed throughout

During lessons:
– Swimming lessons will now take place width ways and the swimming pool will be split up into 3 different sections
– As a rule, beginner lessons will take place at the shallow end, intermediate in the middle, and advanced swimmers at the deep end. However, this may vary occasionally to meet the needs of the swimmers at the time
– We will be using a system called ‘Spots & Ducks’ which will provide a visual aid for swimmers to keep their distance from each other whilst bringing some fun back to swimming
– Swimming teachers & lifeguards may be wearing masks and visors during lessons
– Although swimming teachers will be able to be in the pool, we will be unable to assist children as we normally would during their lesson. We will provide all the support we can from a safe distance whilst also ensuring your child’s safety in the water. Please be aware that some children may need to temporarily re-visit the use of swimming aids to build confidence
– Each swimming teacher will have their own teaching station, whether that be whilst teaching from the poolside or in the water
– Each swimming teacher will have their own basket of equipment to use throughout the session
– Equipment (including toys, armbands, floats etc) will be cleaned in between each class
– Some activities such as swimming butterfly, jumping in, diving won’t be permitted until advised otherwise by Swim England and Government advisors

At the end of the lesson:
– Around 2 minutes towards the end of lesson time please make your way down from the balcony to your respective wet changing rooms (male or female)
– Please wait at the entrance to poolside – Please do not enter poolside
– There will be a tub of cleaning solution available at each end of the pool. Upon collecting your child from their swimming lesson please remove any armbands and place them in the tub of cleaning solution provided
– Showers will be out of use
– Please change as quickly as possible. max of 5 minutes
– The exit route out of the building will be via the main corridor and down the main staircase towards the reception area
– Signposts will be up to assist you

Thank you all so much for your support and understanding during this time. Despite all the challenges we are yet to face, all guidance put in place by AquaStars Swim Academy has been based on Government and Swim England advice and we are hoping these measures will help to make our return to swimming lessons as safe and effective as possible.

Finally, may we kindly remind all of our customers that each individual person MUST take responsibility for their own actions during this time.

*AquaStars Swim Academy Swimming Guidance For Ladies Only Swimming Lessons*

Before you attend swimming lessons:
– Leave other family members at home
– PLEASE DO NOT attend swimming lessons if you experience any Covid-19 symptoms
– Participants must have swimwear on underneath clothes ready to go – dry changing rooms will be unavailable

When you arrive at the pool:
– Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes prior to your swimming lesson start time
– Please do not arrive late as this may affect you being able to participate in lesson due to social distancing measures
– Please wait in the areas marked out at the fire exit, there will be a limited amount of waiting areas available to avoid congestion
– A member of staff will open the barriers to let you onto poolside, please remove outdoor shoes before walking onto poolside
– Ladies will be welcome to remove outdoor clothing once on poolside
– There will be armbands available for you to put on if needed
– Please ensure social distancing is observed throughout

During lessons:
– Swimming lessons will now take place width ways and the swimming pool will be split up into 3 different sections
– As a rule, beginner lessons will take place at the shallow end, intermediate in the middle, and advanced swimmers at the deep end. However, this may vary occasionally to meet the needs of the swimmers at the time
– We will provide a visual aid for swimmers to keep their distance from each other

– Each swimming teacher will have their own teaching station, whether that be whilst teaching from the poolside or in the water
– Each swimming teacher will have their own basket of equipment to use throughout the session
– Equipment (including armbands, floats etc) will be cleaned in between each class
– Some activities such as swimming butterfly, jumping in, diving won’t be permitted until advised otherwise by Swim England and Government advisors

At the end of the lesson:
– There will be a tub of cleaning solution available at the end of the pool. Upon the departure of the pool please remove any armbands and place them in the tub of cleaning solution provided
– Showers will be out of use
– Please change as quickly as possible. max of 5 minutes
– The exit route out of the building will be via the main corridor and down the main staircase towards the reception area
– Signposts will be up to assist you
